OVERVIEW
GSA has
two combination trap & skeet fields.
Members can use the fields any time between
9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Members must be
instructed on the use of the machines prior
to turning on or loading any of the target
throwers. These machines can be extremely
dangerous and under no circumstances should
anyone try to repair, maintain or adjust any
of these machines. If there is a problem
with any machine, contact the chairman as
soon as possible. Your key will open the
skeet shack and the skeet houses. The key
to the trap house is hanging on the wall in
the skeet shack. Please remember to return
the key to the wall after opening the trap
houses. The fields are lighted. The lights
can be turned on for evening shooting only
when there are three or more shooters on the
fields.
SAFETY
Safety
is of the utmost importance. Safe gun
handling is essential to ensuring the safety
of shooters and spectators. Unsafe gun
handling will not be tolerated. If any
member observes any inappropriate activity
while firearms are present, he should
instruct the offender to immediately stop
what he is doing, and ask that person to
pack up and leave. The person should be
reported to the trap & skeet chairman, an
officer or board member.
Eye and
Hearing protection must be worn at all times
when on the fields.
During
any trap or skeet shooting, only the
shooters, target pullers and scorers are
allowed beyond the fence.
Shotgun
shells must be limited to a maximum load of
3 ¼ dram equivalent and shot size shall not
exceed size 7 ½.
Observe
all posted rules.
GUEST
POLICY
Guests
are welcome to shoot at the club when
accompanied by a member. Guests must sign
in to the guest register at each visit. A
guest is limited to shooting trap or skeet
two times. The exception is that a guest
shooting in a GSA league is allowed to shoot
practice rounds (while accompanied by a
member) throughout the duration of that
league.
GSA does
not have any trap or skeet shooting that is
open to the general public.
PAYMENTS
Members
can purchase shooting ticket books for trap
and skeet. The price for tickets is $20 for
a book of 10. A member may redeem 1 ticket
for each round shot. Members must sign the
face of the ticket. Cash price is $2.50 per
round for members. Junior members are only
charged $1.00 per round. Please make junior
payments with cash. This helps the chairman
correctly account for the number of rounds
being shot. Adult guests are charged $4.00
per round and junior guests (under 18 years
of age) are charged $1.00 per round. League
rate for non-members is $3.00 per round.
Payments
should be placed in the provided envelopes.
PLEASE fill out the envelope completely.
The envelope is self-explanatory. Seal the
envelope, drop it in the slot in the safe
and rotate the knob ensuring that the
envelope falls into the safe. |
