Re: 2006 Saint Patrick's Day Sporting Clays Shoot

The March 19th shoot was a resounding success to say the least, phenomenal would be more accurate. 243 Shooters shot 308 rounds of challenging sporting clays. The course layout and target presentation were a step above your average sporting course.

While most stations ran quickly, there were a couple that had a slight delay, who could of imagined that we would have over 240 participants at an event that usually draws 125. Thanks to all who participated for your patience and understanding. While some delays are unavoidable, there was not a single complaint! Again, thanks to all.

Due to the increased interest in our sporting clays program, we will take the necessary steps during setup of future events to avoid such delays. Again, your patience was greatly appreciated.

I would also like to thank all those that helped with this event. Without your help there would be no success. Special thanks to Alison, Donna and Paul who ran the registration desk and sold raffle tickets. Also to Rich who directed parking. We had over 200 cars parked at one point.

To all our trappers, which there are too many to list by name, it was a long day but you all did a great job. There were very few problems and most stations ran perfectly, again thanks for your help. Also kudu’s to Gary and Gino for there help running the 5 stand , I received nothing but compliments about the “nice men” down there.
Thanks also to Paul and Mike for supplying the lunch and to Ed and Sue for cooking breakfast. A hot breakfast and a good lunch were greatly appreciated by all the hungry participants.

Also, thanks to Ducks Unlimited, Shoreline chapter and to The Grouse Perch for supplying the raffle prizes.

Again, thanks to all who made this event successful!!!!!!
